~ Giving Back Initiatives ~

I love helping people - why? Because it makes a difference in my own life. It gives me purpose, identity, a feeling of connection with other

human beings.

I know that I am here for a reason - to give of my talents and abilities that God gave me, and to do so in a way that benefits them and me. I help them accomplish a goal in their life, and find more success, and I am happy to be the reason and continue to help if needed. I get referrals from students because they see I care about them and know I can help others.

But I am not here just to make a living, I am here to make a LIFE. I am dedicated to finding ways to help that don't always reward me financially, but help others through volunteering my time, talents and energy. If I take my eyes off my own needs, and help others, I appreciate what I have and what I can give them, and feel better about my own life, no matter what struggles I am facing.

Sometimes that is local - working with organizations that are making a difference in SO many lives in the Triangle area and are giving back to the community in so many ways. Those I have supported and am supporting this year and moving forward.

Sometimes that is working to help others get on their feet financially and give them a hand up, not just a hand out.

I network with a group of Giving Entrepreneurs every week to help different causes and local organizations get their message out to the community. When small business and non-profits work together to help each other = success! :)

We meet every THURSDAY in our new location - McDonald's Community Room - 1831 Walnut St, Cary

NEW Ministry News - I am now working with the International Refugee Ministry at The Point Church in Cary, where their Care Ministry does just that - they give clothes, a hot meal, and English (ESL) lessons on Saturday nights - that's where I volunteer with others to teach them this valuable skill.

For more info on this ministry or what The Point does to care for the community -

They are a multi-site church in the Triangle area with locations in Cary, N Raleigh, S Raleigh (Lake Wheeler), Apex and more!

Thanks for caring about giving back and hope to see you in the community! :)
